Here’s another historic day for real estate and a game-changer for the REALTORS® Relief Foundation. World-renowned speaker and coach, Leigh Brown is going to discuss the Code of Ethics – LIVE via Zoom! There are no continuing education hours for this class, but you will satisfy the National Association of REALTORS® Triennial Code of Ethics requirement. #NationalEthicsDay

What You Can Expect

This class will help you clearly identify to clients who you’re working for and help you realize your duties extend beyond the client to all other parties involved in the transaction as well.

Learn to put the client’s best interests first and ahead of your own, and make every possible effort to understand and meet the specific real estate needs of the clients you represent. Your responsibility is to conduct the due diligence necessary on the client’s behalf and share all relevant information to make informed decisions.

You are also bound to full disclosure. The disclosure includes all facts related to the property and transaction and involves both the buyer and the seller. For example, if a roof leaks and you’re aware of it, but the seller hasn’t disclosed that information, the Code of Ethics will not allow you to withhold that information.

We will go over every article in the Code, including Article 10-5 and Fair Housing changes. The class will give real-world examples of why the Code requires REALTORS® to be truthful in all communications with the public. Whether it’s a social media post, an advertisement, or a newsletter, REALTORS® are very careful to relay accurate information to consumers so as not to misrepresent their clients.
